He holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) from Washington State University and a Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) from Harvard University. Their uniqueness and contextual appropriateness characterize his designs. Charles consistently creates vibrant and dynamic landscapes for national and international projects.

**SCULPTOR:**
Charles’s passion for nature, particularly rocks and minerals, and his fascination with art, profoundly influence the form of each sculpture he creates. From his studio in Arizona, he transforms these beautiful found stones and semi-precious minerals into exquisite works of art. Each Skystone, a testament to the metamorphic process that began eons ago, embodies the essence of nature’s transformative power.

Big Nature

The comprehension of regional context and the essence of a place infuses “nature” into culture, permeating every facet of the urban environment. These locations should evoke an emotional response that continually deepens our understanding of nature, sustainability, and stewardship.

Every component of the city must be multifunctional. Roofs serve as gardens, where gardens cultivate food, streets and roofs collect rainwater, and all landscapes function as habitats.

Whether it is an expansive international park, an urban plaza, or a backyard garden, the utilization of native and eco-friendly plants, along with natural-designed systems, constitutes “context-appropriate design.”
